Vice President Contractor Sales at Viking Electric

Brett Wilson has extensive work experience in the electrical distribution industry. Brett started their career at Viking Electric in 1994 as a City Desk Sales representative, where they provided sales and technical support to walk-in customers. Brett then moved on to become an Account Representative, supporting top-earning Account Managers and managing daily activities such as order entry, pricing requests, and returns.

In 2000, Brett was promoted to an Account Manager role, where they successfully managed an account package that consistently exceeded budget expectations, including a corporate top 5 account. Brett continued to achieve and exceed profitable growth expectations set by management.

From 2007 to 2010, Brett served as the General Manager at Viking Electric Supply, where they built a team of electrical distribution professionals in a new market. Brett successfully built a sales and operations platform that achieved and sustained growth for the new branch location.

In 2010, Brett joined Graybar as a Senior Outside Sales Representative, where they called on established key accounts in the Des Moines area and developed relationships with key decision-makers. Brett later became a Branch Manager, responsible for managing multiple Graybar locations in the Minneapolis District, overseeing a team of Sales Managers and Operations to promote profitable growth and gain market share.

Brett returned to Viking Electric in 2016, taking on the role of Twin Cities Contractor Sales Manager. After three years in this position, they were promoted to the role of Vice President of Sales - West Region, overseeing sales operations in the western region. Currently, Brett holds the position of Vice President of Contractor Sales at Viking Electric.

Brett Wilson obtained a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Marketing Management from Concordia University-St. Paul, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. In addition, they have received certifications in Unconscious Bias from LinkedIn in July 2022 and Leadership Mindsets from LinkedIn in July 2021.
