Sean Weigle

Sean Weigle has a diverse work experience in various finance and accounting roles. Sean is currently the Director of Finance and Controller at Viking Therapeutics, Inc. since September 2021. Prior to this, they worked as an Accounting Manager at Turning Point Therapeutics from July 2019 to September 2021. Sean also has experience at EY, where they held roles such as Assurance Manager from October 2018 to July 2019, Assurance Senior from October 2015 to September 2018, and Assurance Staff from September 2013 to September 2015. Before EY, Sean worked as an Income Tax Reporting Intern at SAIC from August 2011 to April 2013, where they were responsible for reconciling income tax accounts, calculating tax rates, and completing SOX checklists.

Sean Weigle has a strong educational background with a Master of Science (MS) degree in Accounting, which they obtained from San Diego State University between 2011 and 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Applied Mathematics at the same university, from 2006 to 2010. In addition to their academic achievements, Sean Weigle also holds the Certified Public Accountant certification, which they obtained from the California Board of Accountancy in March 2016.
