Sumit Kumar

Sumit Kumar has extensive work experience in the renewable energy industry, with a focus on product management, quality assurance, and engineering. Sumit most recently worked at Vikram Solar as the Asst Vice President of Technology. Prior to that, they held the position of Head of Product Management at Adani Solar. Sumit has also worked at Vikram Solar previously, where they served as Head of Product Management & Customer Service, as well as Senior GM (Head) of Quality & Engineering. Before joining Vikram Solar, they worked at C&S ELECTRIC LTD. as the Head of Quality. Sumit has international experience as well, having worked at Novatec Solar GmbH as the Manager (Head Quality- India). Sumit started their career at Fusion Electronics Pvt. Ltd where they were the Quality System - Team Lead. Sumit also gained valuable experience outside of the renewable energy sector at British Council as the Business Assurance Manager, focusing on implementing continual improvement practices and leading lean and Six Sigma projects. Sumit has a proven track record of implementing and maintaining quality management systems and driving continuous improvement initiatives.

Sumit Kumar completed their BSET in Engineering from Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani from 2000 to 2003. Sumit then pursued a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering from the Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology from 1995 to 1998. In 2012 to 2014, they obtained a PGDBA in Operations Management from Symbiosis, Pune. Furthermore, Sumit Kumar has certifications in Lead Auditor ISO 9001:2008 from TUV Rheinland North America Group in April 2010, Six Sigma Black Belt from Breakthrough Leadership Management Consultancy, Inc. in February 2007, and Six-Sigma Green Belt from Eicher Consulting in July 2005.
