Sheila Gault

Sheila Gault has a diverse work experience spanning from 2000 to 2007. Sheila began their career as a Counselor/Advocate at HAVEN, where they played a crucial role in discharge planning, social care plans, and resident assessments. Sheila specialized in assisting women and children transitioning out of domestic violence situations. Following this, they joined Oakland Community College as a member of the OCC Advisory Board Committee for the Mental Health/Social Work Program. In this role, they contributed to the mental health social work curriculum, trained and mentored students in social work skills, and focused on administering education regarding behavioral assessments and treatment planning. Sheila then worked as a Substance Abuse Counselor at Community Programs, Inc., where they identified thoughts and behaviors through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), reported to state and probation officers as necessary, and provided counseling for individuals and groups. Lastly, they joined Villa Healthcare as the Social Services Director, Geriatric Medical Case Management, and Chief Compliance Officer (CCO). In this position, they administered cognitive and emotional assessments, coordinated with nursing staff to provide comprehensive resident care, performed risk management duties, and chaired the Behavior Management Committee.
