Hortencia Luna-Gonzales

Hortencia Luna-Gonzales, MD, FACEP has extensive work experience in the field of emergency medicine. Hortencia served as the Chief Executive Officer at Village Emergency Centers starting from February 2011. Prior to that, they held the same position at River Oaks Emergency Center, starting from August 2010. From January 1995 to August 2010, they worked as the Regional Medical Director at EmCare.

Hortencia Luna-Gonzales, MD, FACEP has a diverse education history. Hortencia began by completing a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine Residency Program from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1985. Afterwards, they pursued a Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Pediatrics Residency Program from The University of Texas Medical Branch, followed by a Pediatric Residency with Neonatology Fellowship from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 1984. Hortencia then obtained another MD degree from the University of Utah School of Medicine with a focus in Business Administration and Management from 1978 to 1982. Later, in 1984, they completed an EMERGENCY MEDICINE RESIDENCY from Charles R. Drew University of Medicine and Science. Finally, in 2014, they acquired a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management from Carnegie Mellon University.
