Michael Mertes

Michael Mertes is a Business Development Manager with extensive experience in various government roles. Michael has a BA in Political Science from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and an MPA in Public Administration from the University of Illinois Chicago. In their current role at the Village of Arlington Heights, Michael has developed and implemented programs to attract and retain businesses. Prior to this, Michael held positions such as Economic Development Coordinator at the City of St. Charles and Legislative Assistant at the District Office of State Senator Carole Pankau. As an Administrative Intern at the Village of Hinsdale, Michael provided research and analysis for various projects.
