Village of Bolingbrook
Joe Fagan has extensive work experience in the fire service. Joe started their career as a firefighter/paramedic at the Village of Brookfield, Illinois in 1997 and worked there until 2000. Joe then joined the Village of Bolingbrook in 2000, where they held multiple roles including firefighter/paramedic, lieutenant, and currently serves as the Battalion Chief since July 2020.
Joe Fagan earned a Bachelor's degree in Fire Services Administration from Columbia Southern University, where they attended from 2016 to 2017. Prior to their enrollment at Columbia Southern University, Joe obtained an Associate's degree in Fire Science/Firefighting from Joliet Junior College, although the duration of their studies at this institution is unknown.

At Bolingbrook’s founding, in 1965, the Village was little more than land surrounded by a sea of cornfields. Like waves in the ocean, each successive decade has opened the floodgates to diverse ethnic tides. The village of Bolingbrook is a southwest suburb of Chicago in Will and DuPage counties in the U.S. state of Illinois. Per the 2021 census, the population was 73,597. As of 2010, it is the 17th largest incorporated place in Illinois and the state's 2nd largest village. The Sister City relationships Bolingbrook has developed across the world with China, India, the Philippines, Pakistan and now with Brazzaville, Republic of the Congo - in poetic terms are like brilliant jewels adorning our multifaceted community crown. Bolingbrook is a community distinguished by its ethnic diversity and unprecedented level of inclusiveness. If our neighborhoods could speak, they would say, “Hate has NO Home Here!”
