David Banaszynski

David Banaszynski has extensive experience in environmental health, currently serving as the Environmental Health Officer for the Village of Hoffman Estates since 1997. Responsibilities include conducting inspections for food services, child care centers, public pools and spas, and various facilities, while also addressing public health nuisances. David contributed to the State of Illinois as a member of the Board of Health from 2012 to 2020 and served as a Subject Matter Expert for the National Environmental Health Association from 2016 to 2020, aiding in the development of the REHS exam and training the Virgin Islands government in environmental assessments. Additionally, involvement with McHenry County's Board of Health and the Licensed Environmental Health Practitioners Board highlights a commitment to policy setting and regulatory oversight. David holds a B.S. in Public Health from Northern Illinois University.
