Joe Leonas

Chief Of Police at Village of Lincolnshire

Joe Leonas has a strong background in law enforcement and education. Joe began their career in 1990 as a Deputy Chief of Police in the Village of Bartlett, IL, a position they held until 2016. In 2016, they became the Chief of Police for the Village of Lincolnshire. Joe's extensive knowledge in policing also led him to teach as an Adjunct Instructor at Northwestern University Center for Public Safety since 2013. Recently, in 2022, they started working as an Adjunct Professor at DePaul University.

Joe Leonas has a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Language and Literature from DePaul University. Joe also obtained a Master of Arts degree in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Western Illinois University.
