Alex Ochoa, AICP, CFM, currently serves as the Community Development Director and Community Planner for the Village of Los Lunas since July 2019, where responsibilities include researching and interpreting planning documents and proposing revisions to ordinances. In addition, Alex Ochoa has been an Adjunct Lecturer at The University of New Mexico since June 2016, teaching a GIS course that covers essential skills in map making and data management. Previous experience includes GIS Coordinator for the City of Albuquerque, GIS Specialist at Marron and Associates Inc., Graduate Research Assistant at the Center for Regional Studies, and an Undergraduate Intern at the Resource Center for Raza Planning. Academic qualifications include a Master of Arts in Community and Regional Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Environmental Planning and Design from The University of New Mexico.
