Village of Palatine
Brian Freese has extensive experience in both firefighting and coaching. Currently serving as a Firefighter/Paramedic with the Village of Palatine since April 2007, Freese is also a member of various teams including Fire Investigations and the Bike Team, and has contributed to budgeting for cardiac monitors. In addition to firefighting, Freese actively coaches softball at the collegiate level, currently as a Volunteer Assistant at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and formerly at IUPUI and Loyola University Chicago, where expertise in data analysis and modern coaching technology was utilized. Earlier coaching roles also included assistant positions at Barrington High School and involvement with coaching clinics led by Major League professionals. Alongside a strong coaching career, Freese's background in emergency services includes previous roles with Wauconda Fire Protection District and the Village of West Dundee. Freese holds a high school diploma from Barrington High School and is pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Fire Services Administration at Columbia Southern University.

Village of Palatine
Palatine is a Village in Cook County, Illinois, United States. It is a northwestern residential suburb of Chicago. As of the 2011 census, the village had a total population of 68,858. Palatine operates under the Council-manager form of local government. Six councilmen are elected from their respective districts, while the entire village elects the Village Clerk and the Mayor. The council then hires a Village Manager to oversee the town's day-to-day operation. The current mayor is Jim Schwantz.
