John A. Ostenburg

John A. Ostenburg is a seasoned Communications and Policy Advisor with over 40 years of experience in government, media, education, and labor relations. Currently serving as Communications & Policy Advisor since July 2010, John specializes in labor-management, government relations, and education policy development. Additionally, John has been the Mayor of Park Forest, Illinois, since April 1999. Prior roles include Chief of Staff at the Chicago Teachers Union from February 1995 to June 2010 and State Representative in the Illinois General Assembly from January 1993 to January 1995. John A. Ostenburg holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Literature and Classical Studies from Loyola University and has completed graduate coursework in Journalism at Northern Illinois University.
