Deputy Chief-operations at Village of Romeoville

Bill Murray's work experience includes various roles in the fire department. Bill started their career at the Village of Tinley Park in 2001 as a Firefighter and later served as an Engineer, Lieutenant, Captain, and most recently as the Assistant Chief-Training/Personnel. In 2005, they also worked at the Village of Romeoville as a Firefighter/Paramedic and held positions such as Deputy Fire Marshal, Battalion Chief-Gold Shift, and Deputy Chief-Operations. Additionally, they served as a football coach for the Tinley Park Bulldogs at the Tinley Park Athletic Association from 2002 to 2015.

Bill Murray obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Public Safety Management from Southern Illinois University, Carbondale in the period between 2021 and 2022. Prior to that, from 1999 to 2001, they attended North Central College, where they pursued studies in Sports and Exercise, though they did not receive a degree. Before their time at North Central College, Murray completed an Associate's Degree in Fire Services Administration at Moraine Valley Community College, which they attended between 1997 and 1999.
