David Schoon

David Schoon has a wealth of experience in community and economic development. David began their career in 1990 as an Economic Development Coordinator for the City of Iowa City, where they worked until 2002. David then joined the Village of Northbrook as Assistant Director for Community Planning and Economic Development Coordinator, a position they held for 15 years. In 2017, they joined the Village of Winnetka as Community Development Director, where they currently work.

David Schoon received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Northern Iowa in 1986. David then went on to pursue further education at the University of Iowa, where they obtained both a Master of Arts and an MBA degree. David studied Urban Planning and Business during their time at the University of Iowa from 1989 to 1991.
