Evan Nelson

Evan Nelson is a dedicated music professional with extensive experience in choral direction and music administration. Currently serving as a Bass Choral Intern at Village Presbyterian Church since September 2021, Evan previously held the position of Choir Director at Salem United Methodist Church, responsible for all music programming for the traditional service. Additional experience includes working as Front Desk Staff and Night Auditor at Hampton, and Administrative Assistant and Graduate Teaching Assistant at Binghamton University Music Department, where Evan taught private voice lessons and supported academic courses. Early career roles include serving as a Key Holder at Garnet and Gold and as Bass Section Leader at Centenary United Methodist Church. Academically, Evan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music and Theatre from Florida State University, a Master's of Music in Vocal Performance from Binghamton University, and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts in Voice Performance at the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
