Khalilia Tillett is a dedicated scientist specializing in peptide chemistry, currently working as a Scientist I at Vilya since September 2023. Previously, Khalilia served as a Research Chemist at the University of South Florida from August 2016 to May 2023, focusing on organic chemistry and the development of innovative methodologies for synthesizing peptidomimetic inhibitors for neurological diseases. In addition to research, Khalilia contributed to education as a Graduate Teaching Assistant in organic chemistry labs and lectures. Earlier experience includes working as a Lab Analyst at Envirodyne Laboratories, where Khalilia conducted waste-water testing in a NELAP certified laboratory. Khalilia holds a PhD in Organic Chemistry from the University of South Florida, a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Murray State University, and an Associate's degree in Biology/Chemistry from St. John's College Junior College.
