Johanna Mähönen has a diverse range of work experience in the field of design. Johanna currently holds the position of Lead Designer at Vincit, where they are responsible for developing the design offering, overseeing staffing and project allocation, conducting professional growth discussions, and facilitating knowledge sharing within the team. Johanna is also involved in the recruitment process for designers.

Prior to their current role, Johanna worked at Columbia Road as a Managing Consultant, where they oversaw the UI and UX design of a mobile app for a client. Johanna collaborated with developers, planned and reported A/B tests, conducted user tests, and facilitated workshops and retrospectives. Johanna also handled account management for their client and mentored a team of software students.

Before that, Johanna was a Senior Design Consultant at Columbia Road, where they helped multiple clients grow their online business through service design, UI and UX design, and growth hacking. Their responsibilities included conducting interviews, creating service concepts and wireframes, designing UIs, and collaborating with marketers.

Johanna also gained experience as a User Experience Designer at Thomson Reuters, where they focused on agile product development using emerging technologies such as blockchain and machine learning. Johanna contributed to the creation of tools for data scientists and developers.

In addition, Johanna worked as an HCI Researcher at UCL, where they designed interfaces and interventions to improve food waste recycling services. Johanna also worked as a Product Owner and User Experience Designer at The World Loves, where they led a team in developing a mobile app and worked with various clients on digital strategies.

Johanna's earlier experiences include working as a User Experience Designer at Tieto, conducting co-creative service design projects for various industries, and as a Teaching Assistant at Stockholm University, where they assisted in a computer science course.

Johanna Mähönen's education history begins in 2010 when they enrolled at Stockholm University. Johanna pursued a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc) degree in Computer Science and Interaction Design, completing their studies in 2013. During their time at Stockholm University, they also attended the Polytechnic of Leiria for a short period in 2012, where they studied Industrial and Product Design.

In 2014, Johanna continued their education at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Human-Computer Interaction and Design. Johanna completed their studies in 2015.

Their educational journey continued as they enrolled at UCL (University College London) in 2016. Here, they pursued a Master of Science (M.Sc) degree in Human-Computer Interaction, with a specialization in Affective Computing.

Johanna also holds a certification in Growth Hacking Crash Course for Corporate Leaders and Managers, which they obtained in May 2019 from Columbia Road.
