Amy Bowen is the Research Director at Vineland Research. Amy has over 10 years of experience in the wine industry, including working as an instructor at Brock University teaching courses on wine sensory evaluation and introduction to wines. Amy has also worked as a research associate at the Vineland Research and Innovation Centre. In their current role, they are responsible for overseeing and conducting research projects related to the wine industry, with a focus on grape and wine production.
Amy Bowen has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biological Sciences (Plant Science, Oenology and Viticulture) from Brock University. Amy is also a Certified Sommelier from the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers and Niagara College. Amy has a Bachelor of Science Honours in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Guelph.
