Amy Bowen, PhD currently holds the position of Director, Consumer, Sensory and Market Insights at Vineland Research and Innovation Centre. Amy oversees sensory and consumer research activities to understand drivers impacting consumer preferences for horticultural products. With a background in Biological Sciences, Amy has also served as a Research Scientist and Research Associate in Sensory and Consumer Science. Amy has experience as an Instructor for courses in wines and sensory development. Amy holds a PhD in Biological Sciences from Brock University, as well as a Certified Sommelier degree from the Canadian Association of Professional Sommeliers and Niagara College. Amy also holds a Bachelor of Science Honours degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics from the University of Guelph.
