Valerie Markus has extensive experience in sales and management within the wine industry, currently serving as the Washington state manager for Vineyard Brands since June 2003. Prior to this role, Valerie held sales representative positions at Noble Wines Ltd. from 1995 to 2003 and Elliott Bay Distributing from 1995 to 1996. Valerie's educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts in Drama from the University of Washington, which was pursued between 1990 and 1992, as well as a high school diploma from Aurora High School in Missouri, completed in 1977.

Vineyard Brands represents over 25 growers of estate-bottled wines in Burgundy, Chablis, the Rhone, Loire Valley, Alsace and Southern France as well as some of the best wines available from Spain, Portugal, Chile, Argentina, New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Germany and Italy. All wines are tasted by the management staff before a decision on representation is made.
