Dr. Serge Verma

President Of Vinmar Projects, LLC at Vinmar International

Dr. Serge Verma has extensive work experience in the field of project development and management within the petrochemical industry. Dr. Serge served as the President of Vinmar Projects, LLC, where they developed and financed various projects through project finance loan guarantees from Export Credit Agencies. Prior to that, they worked as the Project Director at Enron, where they oversaw the development of a large-scale LNG power generation project in India. Dr. Verma also held the position of President at SinoKellogg, a joint venture between MW Kellogg and Sinopec, where they were responsible for the development, financing, and execution of multiple petrochemical projects in China. Dr. Serge gained experience as a Project Director at ABB LUMMUS and as a Project Manager at CF Braun, where they managed various ammonia and urea projects. Dr. Verma started their career as an Assistant Plant Superintendent at Delhi Chemical Works and also worked briefly as an Energy Resource Expert at the United Nations.

Dr. Serge Verma completed their undergraduate education at Delhi University from 1959 to 1963, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering. Dr. Serge then pursued further education at the Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay from 1963 to 1965, earning a Master of Science degree in Petroleum Refinery Engineering. Dr. Verma continued their academic journey at the Stevens Institute of Technology, where they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Chemical Engineering from 1969 to 1973. Lastly, they attended Rutgers University from 1976 to 1979, where they completed a Master of Business Administration degree in Project Finance/Structured Finance.
