Huyen Tran has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Huyen started their career as a research assistant at Prince Henry's Institute in 2000 and then moved on to become a researcher at the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology in 2002. In 2009, they pursued their PhD at Vrije Universiteit Brussel and completed it in 2013. Huyen then joined the Ministry of Science and Technology as an assistant from 2013 to 2014. Huyen later worked as a senior technical consultant at Vinmec Healthcare System from 2017 to 2020, and currently serves as the Director of the Medical Genetics Department at the same organization.
Huyen Tran completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Science at Monash University from 1998 to 2001. Prior to that, they attended Hanoi Medical University for a year in 1997, but did not obtain a degree. Currently, they are pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Biomedical/Medical Engineering at Vrije Universiteit Brussel.

Vinmec Healthcare System
Vinmec is the only private healthcare system in Vietnam having comprehensive association with VinUni, which presents a full ranges of area, from health science to technology and business. This non-profit university project has been established by Vingroup and is going to launch its official enrollment from 2020. VinUni University Health Science Division and the hospitals in Vinmec system will work together to build a break through international standard medical human resource training model in Vietnam. Vinmec has been officially granted a Continuing Medical Education-CME code by the Ministry of Health. In near future, Vinmec will become a training center, specializing in staffing capacity improvement and issuing accredited certificates.
