Jieyan Pan is a Senior Process Development Specialist at VintaBio since March 2022, focusing on the upstream and downstream process development of Adeno-Associated Virus (AAV). Prior to this role, Jieyan Pan served as a Research Specialist at the Center for Advanced Retinal and Ophthalmic Therapeutics (CAROT) at the Perelman School of Medicine, UPENN, from September 2014 to March 2022, where responsibilities included AAV virus production, purification, and lab management. Between December 2008 and September 2014, Jieyan Pan worked as a Postdoc and Research Associate at The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, studying picornaviruses and receptor interactions, as well as virus pathogenesis using mouse models. Earlier experience includes postdoctoral research at the University of Pennsylvania focusing on spermatogenesis and spermiogenesis, and transgenic mouse studies at the University of Utah. Jieyan Pan earned a Ph.D. in Veterinary Microbiology and Immunobiology from Nanjing Agricultural University and holds a DVM in Veterinary Medicine from the same institution.
