Raymond Pfaff has a diverse work experience in various roles and companies. Raymond started their career as a Consultant at CSC, where they developed n-tier telephony analysis software. Raymond then worked as a Senior Software Engineer at Harris, focusing on a big data digital forensics system. At LexisNexis, they worked as a Senior Programmer, where they contributed to big data mining projects using Lexis Nexis ECL and SALT programming languages. Raymond also worked on a customs/border patrol data mining tool and designed an enterprise solution front end. Raymond then joined Novetta Solutions as a Senior Programmer, where they conducted research and worked with Hadoop, Hbase, Hive, MongoDB, and other technologies. Raymond also developed servlet code and scripting to aid in the system's ETL process. Raymond later worked as a Consultant at APX Labs, evaluating Accumulo and Storm for a tactical cloud-based solution. Finally, they worked as a Sr Backend Engineer at Endgame before joining ViON Corporation as a Customer Solutions Architect.

Raymond Pfaff earned a Bachelor's degree in Physics from the University of Florida between 1977 and 1979. In addition to their formal education, they obtained several certifications, including "Malicious Software and its Underground Economy: Two Sides to Every Story" from Coursera in July 2013, "Hortonworks CSA" from Hortonworks in April 2017, and "Dataiku DSS Certification" from Dataiku in December 2016.
