Allison Kurpiel

Allison Kurpiel is an experienced educator and researcher with a diverse background in teaching and legal support. Currently serving as an Independent Contractor ESL Teacher with VIPKID since April 2018, Allison teaches English to children aged 3-12 in China through an online platform. Simultaneously, Allison is pursuing a PhD in Criminology at Penn State University, beginning graduate studies in the fall of 2018. Prior experience includes teaching English at Joseph Upatham School in Thailand, internships with the Chittenden County Office of the Public Defender and the Federal Public Defender, and tutoring at the University of Vermont. Allison holds a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science with a Minor in Economics from the University of Vermont, graduating summa cum laude, and has also studied at Universidad de León.
