Michael Quinn

Michael Quinn's work experience includes a role as a Computer Vision Engineer at ViQi Inc since April 2017. Prior to that, they worked as a Computer Vision Consultant as a self-employed individual from August 2016 to April 2017. Michael also has experience working at The MathWorks as a Senior Technical Consultant from April 2012 to July 2016, where they were responsible for software consulting in various industries and project lifecycle management. Michael also served as a Training Engineer at The MathWorks from October 2008 to March 2012, delivering customized training courses on software products. Before that, Michael worked as a Graduate Student Researcher at UCSB, conducting research in the field of multi-camera surveillance systems. Michael began their career at General Motors as an Assembly Verification Software Engineer from January 2000 to August 2002 and participated in the College Graduate In Training Program from July 1999 to December 2000, where they gained experience in different rotations within the company.

Michael Quinn obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Electrical Engineering from Missouri University of Science and Technology, where they studied from 1992 to 1997. Michael later pursued a Master of Science (MS) in Electrical Engineering from the same institution, completing their studies from 1997 to 1999. Quinn then went on to earn a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Electrical Engineering from UC Santa Barbara, attending from 2002 to 2008.

In addition to their formal education, Michael Quinn obtained a certification in Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management from ARPM - Advanced Risk and Portfolio Management in August 2011.
