Maribel Reyes, PhD has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of clinical pharmacology. Currently, they are the VP, Clinical Pharmacology at Vir Biotechnology, Inc., where they lead a team and provides scientific and strategic expertise in clinical development. Prior to this, they served as the Sr. Director/Head of Clinical Pharmacology at the same company.

Prior to that, Maribel worked at Actelion as a Clinical Pharmacologist, where they led phase I studies and provided expertise in cross-functional teams.

Maribel started their career as a Research Associate at One Lambda, Inc. | A Thermo Fisher Scientific Brand and also worked as a Manufacturing Associate at Amgen.

Maribel completed their PhD dissertation research at UCSF, focusing on translational research of uremic toxins effects on drug disposition. Maribel was also a Fulbright Fellow at The Fulbright Program.

Maribel Reyes, PhD earned their B.S. in Pharmacology from UC Santa Barbara in 2002. Later, they pursued their PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences with a specialization in DMPK and Drug Transporters at the University of California, San Francisco from 2005 to 2010.
