Chris Deir

Chris Deir has worked for a variety of companies since 2009. Chris'sfirst job was as an intern for the Judge Mathis Show at Warner Bros. Entertainment, where they worked closely with production staff and learned the basics of production and post-production. In 2010, they worked as an Office/Production Assistant at Alkaye Media Group, where they operated cameras, microphones, and lighting equipment, processed bills and credit card orders, and managed accounts receivable and contracts. From 2011 to 2016, they were a freelance contributor for The Onion, where they wrote original copy to build and promote client brands. During this same time period, they were also a Research Coordinator at DEFY Media and a Freelance Writer/Editor at WeMash. In 2018, they began their current position as Manager of Acquisitions at ViralHog, where they source, verifies, and purchases viral video content and contacts content creators to negotiate deals.

Chris Deir received a Bachelor's degree from Saint Xavier University in 2007-2010, majoring in History and Communications. Chris then went on to pursue a Master of Science (M.S.) in Cinema Production from DePaul University in 2011-2014.
