Zephyr DeGrote has over ten years of experience in capital management and development for new store environments. Zephyr started their career in 1999 as a Construction Project Coordinator at JPI Companies. In 2006, they moved to Merrcon Inc. as a Construction Project Coordinator, where they developed and documented processes for projects from bid to completion. In 2008, they became a Project Manager at Banana Republic. In 2011, they were promoted to Finance Project Manager at Athleta, where they were responsible for strategic management of capital investments for a growing fleet of new retail locations. In 2015, DeGrote moved to Old Navy as a Sr Finance Manager, where they were responsible for strategic management of capital budget for all new store construction, remodel, and maintenance programs. In 2018, they became the Director of Project Finance and Sourcing at The Guild. Finally, in 2021, DeGrote joined Virdee as a Project Manager. At Virdee, they work on cross-functional teams and is hooked on projects that launch "new things" such as software, new retail environments, or hospitality concepts.
Zephyr DeGrote attended The University of Texas at Austin from 2000 to 2004, earning a BA in Art Zephyr'story with a minor in Business. In 2010, they attended the University of California, Berkeley, where they obtained a Project Management Certification.
