Jason Read

Jason Read is an experienced aviation professional currently serving as the Flight Operations Engineering and Efficiency Manager at Virgin Atlantic since October 2017, following a role as a Flight Operations Engineer. Prior to this, Jason worked at Monarch Airlines from January 2011 to September 2017 as a Senior Flight Operations Engineer and earlier as a Flight Operations Engineer. Jason has enhanced expertise in performance and fuel monitoring through various courses with Airbus and Boeing, applying this knowledge in airline operations. Proficient in conducting complete airfield and obstacle analysis, Jason produces take-off and landing performance charts for Airbus and Boeing aircraft utilizing programs such as Airbus PEP and Boeing BPS and BCOP. Jason holds an MEng degree in Aerospace Engineering with Pilot Studies from the University of Liverpool, earned between 2006 and 2010.
