Rashed Karim

Rashed Karim is a seasoned professional in the fields of data science, artificial intelligence, and machine learning, currently serving as a Senior Manager for GenAI and ML at Virgin Atlantic, where Rashed drives the strategy for Agentic AI and MLOps to enhance operations and customer experiences. Previously, Rashed held the position of Senior Manager at BT, leading the development of data products for media and advertising clients, and as Lead Data Scientist at Ernst & Young, where Rashed spearheaded AI innovations and the implementation of a VAT Automation Platform. Rashed's early career included roles as Senior Research Scientist and Research Scientist at Rayne Image Research Lab in Kings College London, focusing on data analytics for medical imaging and contributing to numerous peer-reviewed publications. Rashed also co-founded De Silva Tutors as CTO and was a Software Engineer at Ernst & Young, enhancing productivity through app development. Rashed holds a PhD in Computer Science from Imperial College London, along with an MSc with Distinction from Queen Mary University of London, and a Honours Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto.
