Andrew Hines

Andrew Hines is an experienced airline captain with a career spanning over three decades in the aviation industry, currently serving at Virgin Australia since August 2002 as a B737NG/MAX and A330 Captain. After a redundancy in October 2020, Andrew was re-hired by Virgin Australia in January 2022. Additional experience includes a brief tenure as an Airline Captain for Rex Airlines in 2021 and roles in customer service and piloting for Australia Zoo Pty Ltd and Outback by Air, respectively. Andrew's earlier roles include Captain positions at National Jet Systems and Tamair, focusing on diverse operations across Australia. Andrew holds a Certificate II in Security Operations and has received training from St. Patrick's College Goulburn and Sydney Technical and Further Education College - School of Aviation.
