Evert Meyer

Evert Meyer is a seasoned professional in the airlines and aviation industry, currently serving as General Manager of Strategy and Planning at Virgin Australia since August 2021. Prior experience includes a role as Partner at Oliver Wyman from May 2019 to August 2021, and various leadership positions at Qantas from October 2011 to December 2018, where responsibilities encompassed strategic planning for international, domestic, and regional networks. Additionally, Evert held roles at Strategy& as a Senior Strategic Advisor, LeighFisher as Director, and Booz Allen Hamilton as Principal. Evert began a career in aviation planning with Leigh Fisher Associates prior to its acquisition by Jacobs Consultancy. Evert holds a Master of Engineering in Fluid Dynamics from Stellenbosch University and a Ph.D. in Operations Research with a focus on Air Transport from The University of Texas at Austin.
