Jayanta Jenkins

Head of Brand & Marketing at Virgin Galactic

Jenkins joined Virgin Galactic with more than 20 years of experience where he led marketing and brand creative at some of the world’s leading agencies and global tech companies. In his role, he is responsible for developing and executing the Company’s overall marketing strategy as well as planning and implementing advertising, content, consumer publicity, partnerships, digital and media efforts.

Jenkins has built his career as a creative industry leader with extensive agency and in-house experience helping brands tell engaging, and award-winning stories. He brings deep expertise as both a creative and marketing executive to the cross-functional role at Virgin Galactic. In his prior role as Executive Vice President, Head of Content Marketing for Disney Branded Television and National Geographic, Jenkins oversaw all marketing and publicity surrounding the promotion of content for both Disney+ and Disney’s linear networks. Jenkins has also served as in-house Global Creative Director for Apple’s Beats by Dre and as Twitter’s first Global Head of Creative supporting its in-house #Studio team and in 2016 Jayanta co-founded SATURDAY MORNING, an organization that works to bring awareness and shift perceptions on racial bias and injustice. Jenkins formative agency experience spans across TBWA/Chiat Day, Wieden+Kennedy and The Martin Agency.
