Markus Saarinen

Markus Saarinen serves as the Senior Vice President of Spaceline Technical Operations at Virgin Galactic since August 2022, overseeing manufacturing, maintenance, propulsion operations, and quality control for motherships and spaceships. Prior to this, Markus held various Vice President roles at Honeywell from January 2004 to August 2022, managing integrated supply chains across aerospace and building technologies, with a focus on aftermarket services and electronic manufacturing operations, driving significant revenue contributions. Markus began career at Wabtec Corporation as an Industrial Engineer and also served in the Finnish Defence Forces as a Non-Commissioned Officer. Markus holds a Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Cornell University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering from Purdue University.
