General Counsel at Virgin Hyperloop

Dennis Reinhold is Virgin Hyperloop’s Interim General Counsel, overseeing all legal, regulatory and governmental relations functions.

Dennis is a seasoned attorney and C-Suite Executive with over 30 years’ experience. Dennis has a strong business background and expertise in handling mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures and other complex transactions, both domestically and internationally. In addition. he has extensive regulatory experience at both the Federal and State level, as well as substantial technology experience, including digital media, in-chat advertising, electronic payment processing services, money transmitter licensing, software and telecommunications.

Recently, Dennis was chosen as DFW General Counsel of the Year for a Midsized Legal Department, at the Association of Corporate Counsel's 2020 DFW Outstanding Corporate Counsel Awards Ceremony at the George Busch Library in Dallas, Texas. In addition, he was the feature cover story in Vanguard Law Magazine – Winter 2021 Edition.

Before joining Virgin Hyperloop, Dennis was the SVP and General Counsel of Aventiv Technologies. He was on the Executive Management Team and intimately involved in strategy and growth of the company. At Aventiv, he started and managed a patent innovation program and grew the patent portfolio from 35 patents to more than 300 patents and another 100 patents pending. He is the sole inventor on one patent involving biometrics and a co-inventor on another patent involving drone detection and interception. In addition, at Aventiv, he led all M&A activity, and successfully completed more than 20 technology related acquisitions.

Dennis earned a Juris Doctor degree from St. Louis University School of Law, a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Business Administration from the University of Illinois, and he completed the Advanced Management Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
