Matt Reichstein

Matt Reichstein is an accomplished executive with extensive experience in the music and legal sectors. Currently serving as SVP, Head of M&A and Business Integration at Virgin Music Group since March 2025, Matt leads strategic growth initiatives following the acquisition of Downtown Music Holdings. Prior to this role, Matt was Senior Vice President of Business and Legal Affairs at Universal Music Group from October 2013 to March 2025, where contributions included navigating the transition from traditional music consumption to a digital media ecosystem and overseeing significant global corporate deals. Earlier in Matt's career, experience as an Associate at Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP involved managing over 30 complex transactions with a total deal value exceeding $17 billion. Educational credentials include an MBA from UCLA Anderson School of Management, a JD from Emory University School of Law, and a BA in Political Science from Amherst College.
