Ronald Mejzak Do, Fasam

Ronald Mejzak, DO, FASAM has worked as an Anesthesiologist from August 2003 to July 2019. Ronald then joined Virginia Beach Psychiatric Center in November 2020 as an Addictionologist. Currently, they hold the position of Medical Staff President at the same company, starting in December 2022.

Ronald Mejzak, DO, FASAM, completed their Bachelor's degree in Biology, General, and Psychology at Case Western Reserve University from 1988 to 1993. Ronald then pursued a Residency in Anesthesiology at Rush University from 2000 to 2003. In addition to their formal education, Dr. Mejzak obtained a Fellowship in Addiction Medicine, specializing in Addiction Prevention and Treatment, at the University of Florida.

Dr. Mejzak has also obtained several certifications to further enhance their expertise. Ronald is a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist, receiving their certification from the American Osteopathic College of Anesthesiologists in June 2018. In August 2021, they obtained the Certification of Added Qualifications in Addiction Medicine (AOCCAM) from the same institution. Furthermore, they are a Fellow of the American Society of Addiction Medicine (FASAM), which they attained from the American Society of Addiction Medicine in February 2023.
