Sara Santa Cruz is an experienced program coordinator and educator with a strong background in food access, environmental studies, and community engagement. From August 2022 to October 2024, Sara served as a Program Coordinator for Advisory Services at Locus. Prior experience includes managing the Virginia Food Access Investment Fund at the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, focusing on grant management and partnerships to enhance local food systems. Additional roles include working as a New Roots Farm and Garden Specialist for the International Rescue Committee, a program coordinator at Sprout City Farms, and adjunct instructor positions at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs and Pikes Peak Community College. Sara's expertise extends to international development through activities with the Peace Corps and contributions to various agricultural projects.
