Carol Moneymaker is an experienced strategic planner and project specialist with a strong background in environmental management and planning. Currently serving as a Strategic Planner at the Virginia Department of Transportation since February 2015, Carol previously held roles at Botetourt County, where responsibilities included coordinating interdepartmental projects, managing the VPDES MS4 Stormwater Permit, and utilizing GIS for planning purposes. With earlier experience as an Environmental & Emergency Management Assistant at the City of Roanoke, Carol conducted environmental assessments and managed training for city employees. Carol holds a Master's degree in Public Administration from James Madison University and a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Policy and Biology from Roanoke College.
