Dinesh Dhakal

Dinesh Dhakal, P.E. is a seasoned engineer specializing in structures and bridges, currently serving as a Senior Engineer at the Virginia Department of Transportation since January 2020. Prior to this role, Dinesh held positions such as Assistant Engineer and Civil Engineer Trainee at NJDOT, and Structural Engineer at U & S Engineers, where responsibilities included NBIS bridge inspections, design support for bridge and foundation projects, and construction support. Dinesh's experience also encompasses graduate research at the University of Nevada Las Vegas focused on mitigating chloride-induced corrosion in reinforced concrete bridge columns, as well as design coordination roles at Professional Network for Engineering Services and Sanjen Hydropower Company Limited. Dinesh holds a Master of Science in Civil Engineering and Construction and is pursuing a second Master of Science in Structural Engineering.
