Scott Crafton, RLA, has extensive experience in stormwater management and environmental compliance, currently serving as the Maintenance Division MS4 Program Manager for the Virginia Department of Transportation since July 2016. In this role, Scott oversees compliance with state-federal MS4 permits, develops agency guidance, conducts staff training, and ensures adherence to stormwater BMP requirements. Prior to this, Scott worked as a Stormwater Project Manager at The Louis Berger Group and was the President of Stormwater Resources LLC, where consulting services were provided for stormwater management training and local ordinance development. Scott's background includes significant roles with the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality, Virginia Department of Conservation and Recreation, and the Virginia Chesapeake Bay Local Assistance Department, contributing to regulatory development and technical assistance for local governments. Scott holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture from Virginia Tech and served in the US Navy from 1968 to 1972.
