Amanda Domagola is an accomplished optometrist with extensive experience in the eye care field. Since September 2019, Amanda has been practicing at the Virginia Eye Institute. Prior positions include serving as an optometric technician at Lenscrafters from June 2014 to July 2015 and working as a patient care technician at Unity Health System from June 2011 to June 2014. Amanda holds a Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois College of Optometry, achieved between 2015 and 2019, and a Bachelor of Science in Biology and Psychology from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute, completed in 2013.

Virginia Eye Institute (VEI) is a comprehensive eye care organization providing a wide range of ophthalmology, optometry, and optical services in 8 locations across Central Virginia. VEI offers an exceptional range of ophthalmic care to Richmond, VA residents including, cornea and external diseases, glaucoma, cataract surgery, retina, oculoplastics, pediatrics, refractive surgery (LASIK), and general ophthalmology. All optometrists and ophthalmologists at VEI are board-certified and many are fellowship-trained. VEI eyewear locations provide board-certified opticians and contact lens fitters. VEI also owns and operates an out-patient Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC). VEI’s optical shops are ranked as one of the nation’s “50 Best Optical Shops”. VEI also has an Aesthetic Center in Short Pump performing remarkable cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries by our fellowship-trained specialists.
