Gill held various leadership positions at the Association of Technical Personnel in Ophthalmology from August 2017 to July 2023, including Immediate Past President, President, President-Elect, Vice President, and Director At Large. Prior experience includes working as a Clinic Coordinator at Eye Care Associates of St. Louis and as a Lead Ophthalmic Technician at Saint Louis University. Gill holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Concordia University-St. Paul, earned between 2001 and 2005.

Virginia Eye Institute (VEI) is a comprehensive eye care organization providing a wide range of ophthalmology, optometry, and optical services in 8 locations across Central Virginia.
