Elizabeth McNamee has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Elizabeth began their career as a Senior Accountant with Ernst & Young in 1983, where they planned and executed audit engagements in various industries. Elizabeth later became a Tax Manager in 1987, supervising Federal and multi-state research, planning, and compliance in corporate, individual, and partnership areas. After leaving Ernst & Young in 1990, Elizabeth worked with Cherry, Bekaert as a Human Resources Partner and Director of Finance and Administration, managing all aspects of the firm's accounting and human resources functions, negotiating substantial reduction in borrowing rate for all debt, and facilitating offices during annual business planning sessions. In 2009, they joined Virginia Education Association as Director of Human and Financial Resources, where they directed and coordinated all aspects of finance and human resources, managed and administered collective bargaining contracts and grievances, and administered defined benefit pension plans. Elizabeth's most recent position is with Virginia Hospital & Healthcare Association (VHHA), where they joined in 2015 as VP, Chief Financial, and Human Resources Officer.
Elizabeth McNamee obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Accounting from William & Mary between 1979 to 1983. Elizabeth later earned their Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification from the VA Board of Accountancy in August 1986. Elizabeth also obtained their Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) certification from the HRCI in December 2001.
