Jeryl Rose Phillips, AICP, is a seasoned planning professional with extensive experience in urban and environmental planning, zoning, and historic preservation. Currently serving as Principal Planner for the City of Williamsburg, Virginia, Jeryl oversees the Architectural Review Board and the implementation of the city's Design Review Guidelines. As the owner of Luna Planning Services LLC, Jeryl consults on land use planning and environmental matters. Prior roles include Assistant Director of Planning & Zoning for Isle of Wight County, Comprehensive Planning Coordinator for the City of Virginia Beach, and various positions within the City of Norfolk and City of Suffolk. Jeryl holds a Master's degree in Urban and Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia and a Bachelor's degree in Government from William & Mary.

The School of Marine Science (SMS) at VIMS is the graduate school in marine science for William & Mary.
