Dean Field

Dean Field is an experienced healthcare executive currently serving as the Divisional Vice President of Health Informatics and Operations at Virginia Mason Franciscan Health since January 2020. Previously, Dean held the position of Vice President of Informatics & Operations at CHI Franciscan Health, where responsibilities included enhancing patient service and clinical outcomes through effective EHR integration. Dean also served as Division Chief & Medical Director of Ambulatory Clinical Informatics at Franciscan Health System, overseeing the transition to a unified EHR platform. Earlier roles included CMO and President of Franciscan Medical Group, where Dean managed a multi-specialty provider system, as well as Regional Medical Director and Physician & Clinic Medical Director, focusing on clinical effectiveness and direct patient care. Dean's education includes an M.B.A. in Healthcare Leadership from Seattle University and an M.D. from the University of Arizona, complemented by degrees in Biology and Psychology from Arizona State University.
