Kelly A. Potter is currently the EVP & Market President of Charlottesville at Virginia National Bank. Kelly has held this position since May of 2017. Prior to this, they served as the Market President of Blue Ridge Bank in Virginia from July 2012 to May 2017.

Kelly has an extensive background in the banking industry. Kelly started their career in 1991 as an Assistant Bank Examiner for the FDIC. Kelly then worked their way up to Assistant Vice President at The Columbia Bank from 1994 to 1999. From 1999 to 2000, they were the Vice President at Chesapeake Federal Savings Bank. After a brief stint at Provident Bank from 2000 to 2001, they became the Chief Financial Officer for Trigon Development from 2003 to 2006. In 2006, they became the Vice President of Albemarle First Bank and remained in that role until the bank was acquired by Rockingham Heritage Bank in 2007. From 2007 to 2010, they served as the Chief Lending Officer for Old Dominion National Bank. And finally, from 2010 to 2012, they were the Vice President Commercial Lender at Pioneer Bank.

Kelly has a wealth of experience in the banking industry and has been a driving force in the success of each institution they have been a part of.

Kelly A. Potter has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting from Salisbury University - Perdue School of Business, where they graduated Cum Laude.

They are on a team with Tara Y. Harrison - Chief Financial Officer & EVP, Gina R. Bayes - Chief Credit Officer & EVP, and Donna G. Shewmake - General Counsel & EVP. Kelly A. Potter reports to Glenn W. Rust, CEO.
