Mary Lawson has over eight years of professional experience in the field of legislative affairs and communications. Mary began their career in 2012 as the Finance Director for the Virginia Senate Democratic Caucus, where they served for three years. In 2016, Mary joined the Virginia Transit Assoc as the Communications and Outreach Director, a position they held for almost two years. Mary then transitioned to Virginia REALTORS® in 2018, initially working as the Director of Legislative Relations before being promoted to the role of Senior Vice President of Legislative Affairs in January 2020. Mary's expertise lies in building relationships, advocating for legislative initiatives, and directing communications strategies.
Mary Lawson earned a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Political Science and Government from Virginia Tech.
