Derrick Jennings has a strong background in information technology management and business analysis. Derrick began their career as a Business Analyst at SeaWorld, where they were responsible for budget control and financial reporting. Derrick then moved on to TEKsystems, where they served as a System Analyst, analyzing business processes and ensuring software compliance. After that, they joined Northrop Grumman Corporation as an IT Asset Manager, managing IT inventory and software licenses. Most recently, Jennings worked at Virginia State University as the Director of Information Technology Services, where they led IT assessments, established best practices within the ITIL framework, and established service level agreements with stakeholders. Through their various roles, Jennings demonstrated proficiency in IT management, asset management, and business analysis.

Prior to that, they earned a Master's degree in Educational/Instructional Technology from Virginia State University from 2003 to 2005. Derrick also has a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Sciences and Support Services from Virginia State University, which they completed from 1998 to 2002. In addition to their degrees, Derrick has obtained several certifications in ITIL and hardware/software asset management.
