Jamaal Simmons

Jamaal Simmons currently serves as the Director of Creative Video for Virginia Tech Athletics, a role held since August 2021, focusing on the strategy and creation of video and digital content to enhance the fan experience and showcase Hokies' student-athletes' stories. Prior to this position, Jamaal worked as a Digital Media Producer for Florida State University from July 2018 to July 2021, where responsibilities included producing content for social media and digital platforms. Earlier experience includes roles as a Broadcast Production Intern with the Orlando Magic, a Camera Operator for the Detroit Tigers, and various internships that provided foundational skills in video production and broadcasting. Jamaal holds a Bachelor of Arts in Broadcast Journalism from the University of South Carolina and a Master’s Degree in Cinematography and Film/Video Production from Full Sail University.
